Scaling Agile @ Spotify with Tribes,Squads, Chapters & Guilds
What’s this? Dungeons & Dragons is alive and well in Sweden? Well, maybe not – instead here’s a look at how agile has been applied to the production process at Spotify.

Meanwhile, had to include the copyright infringement allegation aimed at Spotify from Ministry of Sound this week. Interesting debate – so join in.

7 Marketing Lessons from Eye-Tracking Studies
Useful reminder of some of the things we need to consider in page design. Remember Fitt’s Law anyone?

Jonah Peretti’s Memo To The BuzzFeed Team
Notable for so many reasons, some of my favourite snippets here:

‘The world needs sustainable, profitable, vibrant content companies staffed by
dedicated professionals; especially content for people that grew up on
the web, whose entertainment and news interests are largely neglected
by television and newspapers.’

‘There is a huge opportunity to be the leading news source for the social, mobile world…We, of course, still don’t have the trust the traditional news brands have won over the past 100 years, but we are working hard to earn it, and it won’t take us 100 years to get there.’

‘We have more expertise about social content than any other company. We can light up
the social web for an advertiser across Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube, with content that is worth clicking and sharing.’

‘The best work comes from small groups of smart people with considerable autonomy and the ability to collaborate freely with others when it makes sense…Nothing is more powerful than small groups of talented people with the freedom to do their best work. This is the key to our future.’

Amen to that sir.

Connected UX – Aarron Walter
Truly illuminating -if only for personas and reconfigured elephant.

Adam Connor & Aaron Irizarry – Building Consensus in Critiques and Design Studios
I absolutely loved their approach to the art of critique which is so often ego centric and subject to misunderstanding. A useful reminder of what we should consider before commenting on other people’s work. Use active listening everyone.

And lastly this. Can’t make up my mind if I love or loathe it. Massive big up to foxes though. They rock.

I’d love to hear your views on any of the content strategy links above so please get involved in the comments below!
